Data Privacy Notice

Genuine Translations stores your personal data in order to effectively and legally manage the professional relationship between you and Genuine Translations and to occasionally send you news about the company. These legal bases for storing your data are as defined in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) of 2018.

The personal data stored includes your name and email address. When an enquiry to translate documents containing personal data has been received by Genuine Translations, data is processed for non-domestic purposes, as Genuine Translations will be paid to carry out the translation. If the enquiry does not convert into an order, the aforementioned documents are deleted after 3 months.

If you are a translator working with Genuine Translations, your phone number, native language, other languages you speak, specialist areas of expertise and knowledge, a copy of your CV and your signed Confidentiality Agreement are also stored.

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for statistical analysis about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

Your personal data is not shared with third parties unless Genuine Translations is hired to translate documents containing your personal data and involving languages other than Spanish and English. In this case, the sharing of data is for non-domestic purposes, as Genuine Translations is paid to do this.

If you are a translator, your personal data may be shared with potential clients if Genuine Translations refers them directly to you.

All data will be stored for the duration of your active professional relationship with Genuine Translations.

You retain all rights relating to your personal data as defined by the EU GDPR legislation and can take those up by contacting Eva Túnez Salvador, Director of Genuine Translations, at eva@genuinetranslations.co.uk or on 07531237317.
